Founded in 1983, Physicians Review Organization is an accredited independent medical review organization. Recognizing that hospitals and medical staff have the responsibility to maintain high quality standards, we have developed a unique peer-review approach to meet these standards.

Physicians Review Organization is accredited both as an internal and external review organization through URAC—an independent, nonprofit organization which establishes meaningful quality measures for the entire health care industry through its accreditation and certification programs. URAC offers a wide range of quality benchmarking programs and services that keep pace with the rapid changes in the health care system, and provide a symbol of excellence for organizations to validate their commitment to quality and accountability.
